Lilas Bereavement bags

Today we spent the day organizing our bereavement bags, a lot of love and care went into these bags, and include lots of lovely items to help siblings at their time of need. We have put together two types of bags, one bag for under nine years of age and then we have an over age nine bag. The under age nine includes handmade knitted dolls made with love and some little knitted love hearts. The bags contain two hearts- one can be given to the sibling that has passed away and the other for the sibling to keep. We have also included stones to paint to remember their loved ones, drawing and crafting items, a notebook, forget me not seeds, a booklet explaining grief and ideas on remembering their loved ones, a story book explaining death, a pocket hug and a few other little surprises. The over nine years of age bags contain similar items however the booklet is more appropriate to their age on explaining grief. It also contains a journal and an angel ornament to remember their loved one.

Finally we have finished our first 140bags ready to distribute.
